Step by step

  1. 1

    Register a warranty

Go to Warranty → Warranties and click Register Warranty.

  2. 2

    Warranty Details

Choose the Project (required) and the Equipment, or -- No Equipment -- if the project has none, and enter the Serial Number. Set Start Date, End Date and Warranty Type — Standard, Extended or Limited (all required) — and write Coverage, Exclusions and Terms & Conditions. Click Register Warranty; it is numbered WRN-00001 onward.

  3. 3

    Watch for expiry

The warranty list marks an active warranty Expiring Soon when it ends within 30 days and Expired once its end date has passed. Each warranty's page shows Days Remaining and its claims.

  4. 4

    File a claim

Go to Warranty → Claims and click File Claim. Choose the Warranty (warranties with Active status are listed), link a Service Ticket (Optional) and write the Issue Description — at least 10 characters. Click Submit Claim.

  5. 5

    Follow the claim

The claim is numbered CLM-00001 onward and starts as Submitted. Its page shows the warranty, project and client, the linked service ticket and the resolution details.

Common questions

Can I register a warranty without equipment?

Yes. Choose -- No Equipment --; the form says so when the project has no equipment. The warranty is still tied to the project and its client.

How do I know a warranty is about to end?

The warranty list marks active warranties Expiring Soon when they end within 30 days, counts them in the Expiring Soon card, and shows Days Remaining on each warranty's page.

Why should I link a service ticket to the claim?

So the visit that found the fault and the claim are read together. The claim page then shows the ticket number, status and issue beside the warranty details.
